Welcome to Quorn Tennis Club, one of the friendliest village tennis clubs.

History

Quorn Tennis Club is a new tennis club that is based at Rawlins Academy in the centre of the village of Quorn in Leicestershire.

Tennis has a long history of being played in Quorn for more than 100 years and has fielded teams in the Leicestershire Doubles Leagues for many years.

Facilities

The Club works in partnership with Rawlins Academy to provide comprehensive tennis facilities and state of the art social facilities at the “the Deep End”, an award-winning conversion of the former swimming pool into a multi-use social and recreational area.

The Club has 4 hard courts available for play 7 days a week. The playing times are as follows:

Monday to Friday – 4.00pm to 9.30pm (light permitting)

Saturday – 9.00am to 4.00pm (light permitting and save by prior arrangement)

Sunday – 9.00am to 4.00pm (light permitting and save by prior arrangement)

Social

The Club operates “Club Evenings” on a Wednesday and Friday evening where Club members simply turn-up and mix in to play doubles.

The Club prides itself on its friendly and social atmosphere and encourages players of all ages and standards to turn up and join in.

The Club also arranges a series of themed tournaments (largely revolving around a culinary theme) on one Saturday or Sunday each month from April to October. There is also a Christmas event as well.

LTA Competition

To prove that the Club is about more than just tea and cake, it also operates three teams in the Leicestershire LTA Doubles League, one Men’s Team, one Ladies’ Team and one Mixed Team.

Coaching

In addition, the relocation to Rawlins Academy has allowed the Club to revitalise its Coaching Programme for both adults and juniors.
